David Yi — Co-Founder

David Yi is the editor at Very Good Light, a men's beauty publication aimed at Generation Z. The brand is all about redefining masculinity and creating a safe space for all types of men. The site has since been featured in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Vogue, Teen Vogue, and Allure, among others. Prior to Very Good Light, David launched fashion and beauty at Mashable and was nominated for a GLAAD and Webby award for his work there. He's worked at Women's Wear Daily, the New York Daily News, and has written for GQ, the Wall Street Journal, Nylon, ELLE, InStyle, Esquire, and Vogue, among others. 

Sarah Springer — Co-Founder

Sarah Springer is an Emmy-nominated producer, documentary filmmaker and journalist. She started her career at CNN where she reported stories about race and identity in America with Soledad O’Brien’s In America series and has since worked as a producer for ABC's Good Morning America, CBS Evening News, 60 Minutes and VICE Media. Additionally, she oversaw creative direction and production for immersive, branded and linear series for RYOT Media in New York and Los Angeles. Voted one of the top 28 most powerful black people in media by Blavity, she hopes to promote inclusion in the media space in all she does.


Naomi Yitna —Dir. of Operations and Edu

Naomi Yitna is a recent graduate from Texas Tech University. She studied Human Development and Family Sciences with a concentration in race relations. She was a student leader at her campus and within the Big XII on Black Student Government. She is a co founder & committee member of the Black Cultural Center at Texas Tech. She is now the Director of Operations and Education for Advocates for Inclusion in Media.

Genel Ambrose — Development and Strategy

Genel Ambrose is a cultural producer, journalist and founder of Good Mirrors Aren’t Cheap, a foundation that endeavors to eradicate stigmas faces by girls and young women of color. In 2017, Genel worked to launch “Community,” @ VICE, the media company’s first ever initiative for culture and inclusion engagement. A graduate of NYU, Genel has worked at Apple, VICE, HBO, Clear Channel Radio, and Universal Music.
